Dear Ontario IUG Members,
We’re excited to announce the relaunch of the Ontario Innovative Users Group—and we’d love for you to be a part of it!
In partnership with London Public Library, we’re hosting our first in-person regional conference on Thursday, October 23, 2025 (10:00 AM - 4:00 PM):
London Public Library – Central Library

This full-day event will bring together library professionals from across Ontario to share ideas, discuss workflows, and reconnect as a community. Clarivate will be joining us to share key product updates, answer questions, and support regional engagement efforts—and they’ll also be generously providing complimentary morning refreshments (like bagels and pastries) and a catered lunch for all attendees.. Topics will include:
- Sierra & Polaris
- Vega Discover
- LX Starter
- Innovative Phone Alerts & SMS
In addition to vendor-led updates, we’ll host user-led sessions on topics submitted by the community, such as:
- Staff training and workflow best practices
- Removing expired OverDrive records from Sierra
- Using REST APIs and writing SQL queries
- Developing an action plan for cyber incidents
- Integrating RFID pads and receipt printers with Sierra Web
We’ll also discuss ideas for future Ontario IUG gatherings and how we’d like to shape the group moving forward.
